fulgurite
Lightning is over 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Upon its strike, a reaction of metals underground is possible.
This reaction is manifested in the melting and combining of the metal at a high speed -creating a replica of the form of a lightning strike itself.
Fulgurites are most often found in the desert, surfaced by winds.
